What is Dermaroller Skin Rejuvenation?

The dermaroller creates tiny pinpricks on the upper layer of the dermis, this kick-starts the skin’s natural healing and firming mechanisms and accelerates collagen production. Within this repair response, your body will produce elastin and collagen, helping build a new stronger skin matrix in the deeper layers giving you a newer younger looking skin. We can never have enough collagen!

As the collagen is tricked into coming to the area to repair a pretend wound (caused by tiny micro fine needles on a rolling head) this collagen stays in the area and cross links over a period of 2-3 months and changes into stronger, more structured collagen. With continuous repetition of this process over a course of treatments spaced 2-3 months apart, the scars will become more flush with the rest of the surface skin.

This is also an ideal treatment for acne scarring, because it builds up the depressions or scars left by acne. The depressions are repaired from within the dermis. They are replenished with elastin and collagen and plumped up and pushed out to meet the same level as the rest of the surface skin.
